| Abstract: The Strategic Redesign of the UNED Student Observatory (OEUNED) aims to strengthen and update the Observatory’s organizational, research, and training model, aligning it with the PROIFED Strategic Plan 2026–2030 and the Formative Research Guide (2021). Since its creation in 2017, OEUNED has promoted the democratization of science through territorial training initiatives, the development of educational resources, collaboration with academic networks such as REDIC, and participation in national and international academic events. However, ongoing institutional developments require the consolidation of a more structured and progressive model capable of responding to emerging student training needs.
The research will be conducted between March and December 2026 under a qualitative and proposal-oriented approach, structured into three phases: (1) a strategic diagnosis through documentary analysis; (2) a comparative review of institutional and regulatory documents to reformulate the research axes; and (3) the design of a comprehensive training program with a monitoring and mentoring system grounded in formative research. The project will directly benefit undergraduate and graduate students, as well as institutional researchers, contributing to the strengthening of formative research across diverse territories in the country. Furthermore, its linkage with REDIC enhances its potential for internationalization and the transfer of best practices in distance education.
