| Abstract: The research titled “Diagnostic Stage for the Development of a Proposal to Promote Employment for Graduates and Students from UNED Campuses in the Central East Region (RCE)”, conducted by the Institutional Research and Evaluation Center (CIEI), includes a contextual analysis of labor market demands, regional socio-productive dynamics, and the employment situation of students and graduates from the cantons of Acosta, Puriscal, Tarrazú, Cartago, and Turrialba.
Among its main findings, the study highlights the need to:
• Align the academic offerings with the demands of the different cantons.
• Expand technical training and strengthen competencies in skills and languages to improve employability.
• Implement actions that promote employment and reduce the gender gap in the labor market.
• Strengthen the connection between the university and the employer sector.
Furthermore, it provides relevant information on the labor profile of graduates, a key input to guide institutional and regional employment strategies |
