Abstract: This research analyzes the evolution of students' academic performance in subjects that have historically shown difficulty in their respective approval before the Covid 19 Pandemic, in students of the Business Administration degree at the State Distance University. The Pandemic forced a transition and rapid changes to continue offering the various subjects, which generated modifications in both teaching methods and evaluation models. The methodology used combined a quantitative and qualitative analysis regarding approval rates, instruments such as the academic records of the university were used, and surveys were also applied to teachers to collect information on changes in pedagogical and evaluation practices.
The results showed changes in pedagogical mediation and evaluation, which were more focused on the compression and application of knowledge and not on memorization. This approach directly impacted academic performance, reflecting a significant impact on the passing rates of the subjects under study. The study also highlights the importance of teaching support and the use of technological resources that facilitate learning in the distance education model, however, some challenges or opportunities for improvement within the process are identified |
