| Abstract: This study will validate a survey instrument and test a model of organizational readiness and willingness to use artificial intelligence for predictive quality in Costa Rica’s life sciences industry.
The initial instrument contains 28 items covering seven constructs: data readiness, organizational capability, predictive quality readiness, explainability, calibrated trust, responsible AI governance, and willingness to use. The study will use a quantitative, nonexperimental, cross-sectional design.
Academic review, expert content assessment, and pilot testing will precede the main survey. An initial target of at least 400 valid questionnaires is proposed; sample adequacy will be justified in relation to model complexity and data quality. Confirmatory factor analysis will assess the measurement structure, reliability, and evidence of validity. Structural equation modeling will test the proposed relationships. Findings will be interpreted as self-reported perceptions, intentions, and statistical associations. Outputs will include aggregate reports for participating organizations and a scientific manuscript on instrument and model validation. Organizational participation will require authorization, and participant confidentiality will be protected. |
