Abstract: In this research, a proposal is presented to analyze the processes of educational innovation, having as its axis the pedagogical one that is developed in Costa Rican public educational centers, emphasizing the characteristics that articulate it and the perceptions of the teaching staff.
Educational innovation in the educational centers of the country implies significant changes in the teaching-learning processes since education is not static and must be updated and developed to face the new society in which the student body is immersed. The research uses the mixed approach with a sequential explanatory design, having as instruments: the questionnaire, discussion groups, case studies. The target population is preschool, primary and secondary schools.
