RESEÑA

Actualmente me desempeño como editora académica de PROMADE desde 2017 de textos en inglés y español y coordino la Comisión de Investigación y Extensión (COMIEX) de la Dirección de Producción de Materiales Didácticos (DPMD) desde 2022.

Soy Licenciada en Tecnología de Alimentos, la cual ejercí por 17 años en Alimentos Heinz de Costa Rica donde adquirí experiencia en sistemas de inocuidad, HACCP y calidad. También fui Encargada de Cátedra de Agroindustria en la ECEN (UNED) y participé como pionera en la etapa de migración de los cursos a distancia a un sistema asincrónico en línea, comenzando con Web CT y llegando a las plataformas actuales (Moodle). Publiqué artículos sobre la enseñanza de la Ciencia de Alimentos en un sistema a distancia, enfocada en el mejoramiento de la calidad de las asignaturas y las necesidades del estudiantado con una meta de inclusión educativa.

Soy Máster en Salud Ocupacional con mención en Higiene Ambiental, la cual ejercí por cuatro años en Alimentos Heinz de Costa Rica (funciones mixtas en alimentos y salud ocupacional) y me certifiqué en el sistema de EHS HEINZ.

Soy Licenciada en Docencia, mi tesis se enfocó en tres premisas de la teoría del aprendizaje significativo de David Ausubel aplicadas a los materiales didácticos escritos e impartí diversas charlas y talleres sobre dicha teoría, para la cual se iniciará el Proyecto Ausubel en PROMADE en 2024. Actualmente soy asesora de TFG del programa de Docencia en la UNED).

Estoy a punto de finalizar maestría en Traducción Inglés-Español de la Universidad Nacional (UNA), donde estoy por defender mi tesis en Terminología y Lexicografía con base en la traducción que realicé del corpus Taking form, making worlds (editoriales cartoneras), el cual se registrará como proyecto en Gestiona.

Soy estudiante del programa de Enseñanza del Inglés para I y II ciclo de la UNED, como parte de mi formación como profesional en el ámbito del inglés que forma parte de mi plan de mejora en la UNED.

Soy una persona proactiva, con muchas metas y sueños personales y profesionales, mi meta es apoyar primero a PROMADE y la DPMD, donde he tenido la oportunidad de realizarme plenamente como profesional, en un ambiente sano de trabajo y que motiva a cada empleado a luchar por sus sueños, con paz y un liderazgo destacado por la unidad y por identificar las cualidades de cada persona productora académica en función de las necesidades del programa.

También mi meta es colaborar con la UNED como tal, porque creo en mi institución, me siento agradecida por pertenecer a ella y creo en lo que está tratando de lograr en Costa Rica. Considero la UNED es líder en Costa Rica en temas difíciles y complicados y aportamos soluciones diferentes y reales para toda la población estudiantil, impartiendo educación de alta calidad y con los mejores profesionales.

SUMMARY

I currently serve as academic editor of PROMADE since 2017 of texts in English and Spanish and coordinate the Research and Extension Commission (COMIEX) of the Directorate of Production of Teaching Materials (DPMD) since 2022. I have a degree in Food Technology, which I practiced for 17 years at Heinz Costa Rica where I gained experience in safety systems, HACCP and quality. I was also the Chair of Agroindustry at UNED and participated as a pioneer in the stage of migration of distance courses to an asynchronous online system, starting with Web CT and reaching the current platforms (Moodle). I published articles on teaching Food Science in a distance system, focused on improving the quality of the subjects and the needs of the student body with a clear goal of educational inclusion. I have a Master's Degree in Occupational Health with mention in Environmental Hygiene, which I practiced for four years in Heinz Foods of Costa Rica (mixed functions in food and occupational health) and I was certified in the EHS HEINZ system. I am a teacher (Eq) (licenciada en Docencia). My thesis focused on three premises of the significant learning theory of David Ausubel applied to written didactic materials and I gave several lectures and workshops on this theory, for which the Ausubel Project will begin in PROMADE in 2024. I am currently a TFG advisor for the Teaching program at UNED). I am about to finish my Master's degree in English-Spanish Translation at Universidad Nacional (UNA), where I am about to defend my thesis in Terminology and Lexicography based on the translation I made of the corpus Taking form, making worlds (cartonera publishers), which will be registered as a project in Gestiona. I am a student of the English Teaching program for I and II cycle at UNED, as part of my training as a professional in the field of English which belongs to my improvement plan at UNED. I am a proactive person, with many personal and professional goals and dreams, my goal is to first support PROMADE and the DPMD, where I have had the opportunity to fully accomplish myself as a professional and as a human being, in a healthy work environment that motivates each employee to strive for their dreams, with peace and outstanding leadership for the unit of the work force and for identifying the qualities of each academic producer person according to the needs of the program. My goal is also to collaborate with UNED as such, because I believe in my institution, I feel grateful for belonging to it and I believe in what it is trying to achieve in Costa Rica. I believe that UNED is a leader in difficult and complicated issues and we provide different and real solutions for the entire student population, through high quality education and with the best professionals.
